Being effective: Consistently and fully utilize what God has given you, rather than working for what you think you want or need. So what do you already have? Make the most of your material resources, and all the talents that God has given you, but also make the most of the blood of Jesus that gives you direct access to God's throne. Focusing on what you don't have, and pursuing it, leads to anxiousness, discontentment, and ineffectiveness. The only thing worth pursuing that you might not have enough of is Himself (He rewards those who diligently seek Him). But He will provide all of your wants and needs, if you ask Him.
